Measure Mitigate

Improve Thrive
Welcome to the Patrick Leahy Burlington International Airport (BTV) Noise Mitigation Program.
This program is dedicated to reducing the impacts of aircraft noise on surrounding neighborhoods. In partnership with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), we use federally approved tools and programs to improve the quality of life for residents while supporting safe and efficient airport operations.
Goals and Intent
The goal of the BTV Noise Mitigation Program is to balance the needs of the airport with the well-being of the community. By tracking aircraft noise, studying its impacts, and providing resources, the program helps make homes, schools, and community spaces quieter and more comfortable.
